Have been grinding the enclave plasma rifle for about 45 hours in the last ten days. First server hopping the bunker for one with a reflex sight, then looking for the aligned flamer mod. I wondered if there was any difference between aligned flamer barrel and true flamer barrel. So far I have 5, one for each character.
There is one flamer you can get as a legit world spawn. The other you have to photomode to get to if you have completed Fun and Games. The only legitimately accessible flamer spawn is at Quarry X3 between the main shed and the yellow generator/ pump thingy. I changed the flamer attachment to automatic barrel and the automatic rifle perks increased it's damage. I didn't see any attachment for an automatic flamer mod. Dataminers find new skin. The previous patch before Atlantic City changed it from rifleman to commando. All this leading up to new box mods dropping.
